Congressional Committees
Committees are groups in the Senate and House that deal with situations.
Standing committees
-These are permanant committees and the House has 22 committees and the Senate has 16.
Subcommittees
-These are standing committees that are broken down into more specific committees that narrow it down.
Select committees
-They deal with the issues that aren't delt with by a standing committee.
Joint committee
-The Senate and House work on a problem together to solve it.
Another Committee, not mentioned much is a Confrence committee and thats when the House and Senate pass the same law just different versions of it and they need to come to a compromise.
