Organization of Congress
The organization of Congress can be a little confusing but there's four parts to it. The session, caucuses, majority party, and minority party.
The session is where the House and Senate meet seperatly and they meet in January and end in November. A joint session is when both House and Senate meet up as one big group.
A Caucuse is when private parties meet i the beggining of each year and during that meeting they discuss who will be the leader of each party.
A majority and minority parties are practically the same but are a little different. Majority party is a Political party with the most members. Minority party is a Political party the with the fewest members.
